Thursday August 13th they installed. The installer didn't provide any demonstration, and my wife told him to wait, so she could at least test the refrigerator's water. Friday, there was just a dribble of water at the refrigerator and the system's dispenser. We are in the middle of a heat wave, so she called for a tech. The tech came later that day explained how the gallon bladder needed to fill etc... my wife said but nobody has used it. Tech said, "Oh." He turned psi to 30 and left quickly without testing. My wife didn't think to stop him. The system is worse. She called all numbers available and talked to two people who said they would try to get someone to call back. They seemed empathetic to our heat wave and noticed it was a brand-new system. When I got home I called the sales rep and gave him a video clip. He said that something is not correct. I told him what happened to Culligan. One of the main reasons I called you was because of the service and apparently you are hiring subcontractors. I am not blind and know horrible work when I see it. Now that I am reading reviews, I see that this has happened before. Some have complained of leaks and concerns regarding getting the systems on-line. I am not just concerned but only my wife wants to work with your company. Hello-

I don’t feel like beating around the bush.

My husband has changed a whole house filter before.

Today was our 1 year maintenance to change filters, so I purchased the filters at our local Culligan office in Richmond Indiana.

When my husband changed big blue, there was no filter inside the housing, and there hasn’t been one for an entire year!

Imagine the outrage of knowing that after $5,200.00 and assuming that you have clean water, only to find that our “professionally” installed system has NEVER given us clean water yet- after a full year!

It is Sunday, and no, I haven’t been able to contact anyone yet.

But I will. I am an angry wife who pays each month on this system.

I took lots of pictures of the inside of the sediment filled housing. I have proof.

I need answers, and new filters, and a sanitized system!

They seem to have an unsafe website now, always before their site was safe. My security on my computer says they are safe, but when i get into it says it's not. I have called Culligan in Grover Beach, CA many times to tell them about it, they said they will e-mail the owner to let him know, it's been 6 weeks or longer that this has been going on in calling them. I have been with them for 20 years, you would think they could at least call me back. Guess they don't care. Their attitude was well you can mail the check in or pay on the phone, really i should be able to pay online when i want and be safe.

I hope not all Culligan water locations are run poorly as professionally as this one on Russell Ave. in Santa Clara. From the sarcastic office help that answers the phone, to the delivery technicians that dont know what theyre doing all the way to the manager who is unresponsive to phone calls and very difficult to deal with when trying to explain situations. They make appointments if they show up they come not knowing what they are doing or they never show up. The manager is full of excuses and to be honest does not seem like she is qualified to be in a management position.

AS I WAS TRYING TO "FILM" & SHOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, THE SYSTEM WAS NOT RUNNING -AS IN DOING IT'S SELF-CLEANING, BUT THERE WAS WATER RUNNING SOMEWHERE. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY WATER RUNNING-HAD NOT FLUSHED THE BOWL, etc.

THEN WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PUT THIS SCREWED UP VIDEO TOGETHER, I HAD TO USE THE BATHROOM. I HAD FLUSHED THE TOILET TO SHOW IN THE VID, HOW THERE IS A CONSTANT RING AROUND THE TOILET-YET IT IS CLEAN. WHEN I WENT IN THE BATHROOM, MY TOILET WATER WAS BLACK! OKAY-NOT BLACK-BLACK but DEFINITELY DARK GREY.

I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN UPLOAD MY INFERIOR VID-LIKE CULLIGAN'S SYSTEM, BUT IT SHOWS A LOT OF RUST ON THE WASHING MACHINE-ETC. PLEASE REMEMBER: I BUILT THE HOUSE IN 1990-91. I PURCHASED THE CULLIGAN "TOP OF THE LINE" (then) in June of 2006. I HAD TO REPLACE THE TOILET 3 TIMES; I REPLACED THE WASHING MACHINE 2; I REPLACED THE DISHWASHER 2; I REPLACED THE BATHROOM SINK & TOILET 3 TIMES!

WHO WANTS A TOILET THAT LOOKS "DIRTY" like IT HAD URINE SOAKING IN IT FOR DAYS! AND I AM ON MY 3 REFRIGERATOR! NOT ONLY DID I HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, BUT I AM NOW BEING LIED TO! I BOUGHT THIS SYSTEM BECAUSE I WAS NOTICING AN ODOR WHEN I HADN'T USED THE WATER FOR DAYS. IT WAS A "SULFUR SMELL" and had a fairly new house & was going to live here for the rest of my life, so I needed to do something. I had a "decent income" at the time so I let the salesman pitch HIS BEST pitch and BOUGHT WHATEVER HE SUGGESTED. FROM THE FIRST YEAR-IT HAD "PROBLEMS". I AM NOT QUITE SPECIFIC AS TO WHAT IT WAS NOW-AS TIME HAS PASSED & I WOULD BE "LYING" IF I SAID I COULD REMEMBER VERBATIM! SO LET'S JUST FORGET THAT. UPDATE 09/02/19 I commenting on my OWN COMMENT just to apologize that IT is incomprehensible; AS I was SO UPSET (STILL AM) AS Culligan has stated that when they come for the YEARLY SERVICE CALLS, ALL THESE "PROBLEMS ARE EVIDENT" TO THIER TECHNICIANS, BUT because of their being "aware" of my seriously LOW INCOME-"THEY*-CULLIGAN don't TELL me because they realize I cannot afford it. Then WHY would I even bother w/THE YEARLY Maintenance/YEARLY "service calls"??

ISN'T THE SERVICE CALL TO RESOLVE ISSUES BEFORE THEY BECOME TOO COSTLY? THE TECH SHOWED ME THE LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE the second time he came. I KNOW IT'S CULLIGAN (VERY EXPENSIVE) AND "THEIR PART" [approx $39.00 for that tiny piece]! My water STILL "STANK"!

The second time a TECH came, after me speaking to a Manager there, whom told me of the "damage" my complaints have caused them, the TECH showed me a four inch length of narrow hose! NOW -THAT was SUPPOSED to "be the problem"! So this would have been 3 different "SERVICE CALLS"! @ $150.00 PLUS NYS SALES TAX---HOW IS THAT "CULLIGAN SO CONCERNED ABOUT MY LACK OF "AFFORDABILITY"?

TO TOP THIS "ALL OFF"-I WAS MADE TO FEEL GUILTY REGARDING MY COMPLAINT HERE! I ALSO COMPLAINED DIRECTLY TO THIER WEB-SITE; THE HOME OFFICE (though I believe this IS A "FRANCHISE") SO APPROX $ 450.00 "NOT COUNTING MY GREAT STATES SALES TAX" for that plastic piece? OR THE HOSE-THAT WASN'T ORANGE LIKE ALL MY APPLIANCES...I was not down there with him & he could have had IT in his pocket for ALL I KNOW. Toxic water from the softener.

TOXIC WATER by Culligan in LA. 6 WEEKS TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE! Your Los Angeles office breaks maintenance contract and provides terrible customer service. I will be contacting BBB regarding this particular franchise. The Privilege service program contract states that the resin filter in the softener tank should be changed as needed, but AT LEAST ONCE IN EVERY 5 YEARS, our has not been changed for at least 8 years. Now after I had toxic water for years with no water pressure at the house, I had discovered that Culligan softener unit was the reason for it all. I notified Culligan immediately and the first appointment that could give me took 3 weeks, even after I pleaded for earlier appointment as my child has eczema and can not wash with regular tab water -(considering it was Calligan's fault not performing under contract terms and changing the filter before it became toxic after 8-9 years) The least they could do is fix issue immediately to correct their wrongs. Now they took the tank to change resin instead of replacing it, and that’s ok, I researched it takes 1 day to do it. Today I was rudely informed by Sylmar franchise manager that next appointment to install the tank back with new resin has not yet been scheduled and they can do it in 3 weeks. Considering that the customer service and the manager are aware of my specific situation and did nothing to expedite the fist call, neither they scheduled the consecutive second call ahead, being well aware that it will be needed. At the original service call I informed Culligan that I will be leaving for Europe for a month on September 22nd and need all fixed before that and they agreed. Now I was told that it can’t be done by the manager in a very rude manner as well. Culligan of Sylmar also doesn’t recognize the obligations under the contract and that is a legal issue. I am very disappointed in this lowest quality customer service after being loyal client for 20 years. Please find a solution to this madness and ask your franchise to take responsibility for their mistake Culligan of Los Angeles has 3* rating and the worst reviews out of all of the water filtration/softeners companies in Los Angeles County FOR A GOOD REASON. On Tuesday we came home to the new 5 gallon water bottle had leaked all 5 gallons of water through their dispenser on my BRAND NEW 2 MONTH old luxury vinyl planking floor and it went under it leaking down to the basement. Culligan came out said bottle had a crack but their insurance co refused to pay because we placed it on hardwood LOOKING floor. Where the *** else did you think I was going to put the dispenser???? So now I have to have the whole floor ripped up and start from scratch. If you us culligan be careful they cover NOTHING

Waiting

Water softener decides to quit working - no error lights, no warning, no call from Culligan -Nothing. By the time I figure out the system is no longer regenerating I'm told it will be a week before a tech can come to the house. So the tech shows up and cant even fix the problem. I need a new tank he says and a few other things. Ok is it just me or should these guys have everything they need on their truck to do the job considering it takes a week to get them there?! Now I'm told it will be another week before he can come back. Finally the wait is over and I get a phone call - we need to reschedule.....the earliest we can get there is next Thursday. WHAT!!! ANOTHER WEEK??!!! Unacceptable to say the least.

CULLIGAN of Newburgh, NY resolved my water problems & want to NOTE THIS+ AS "THEY" WERE VERY GOOD TO ME, UNDERSTOOD MY FRUSTRATION & fears~and came to my AID immediately!

I cannot say thanks enough to Brian & Joe~for FIXING THIS ISSUE...

SO I would like to RETRACT my "emotional complaint" on here.

Unreliable schedule service. No customer service, just excuses regarding internal business. Lies about service times, and then no-shows. Not my problem.

I had an agreement on the contract that included moving the plant in the new house, after many unanswered calls I decided to do it at my expense, now I am many times trying to talk to my salesman to come and make the new adjustments but he does not answer me and does not call me back. I kindly wait for your response, otherwise I will be forced to go to the lawyer. I enclose a copy of the contract. Thank you

I just signed up and signed a year contract and my delivery man is refusing to return my calls after messing up my delivery order. Boy, was it messed up big time and they've already billed me for the mess-up.

I am royally hacked and am planning to cancel the contract and go with Chippewa. Culligan has the worst customer service of any company (no joking) I've dealt with.

I remain stunned at the horrible service and they don't apparently give a rip. Even more stunning.

Terrible driver

Monday ,May 6 at about 400 pm a truck coming out out 123rd ave n champlin making a right on elm creek blvd blew right through a stop sign and almost broad sided me. Took a lane over the line to avoid a accident, doesn't these people know how to stop for a stop sign!!! He could have killed me never even slowed down to make the turn. It was a terrible experience.
